Computer Literacy

We realise that living in a technologically advanced era, computer literacy is essential in all walks of life.  Therefore it is our aim to ensure that all our children develop an advanced level of computer literacy. All pupils from Grade 00 to Grade 7 receive an hour of specialised computer instruction each week.
We follow the Knowledge Network curriculum, an accelerated learning programme used by leading schools throughout South Africa. This programme encourages active learning and demands a high standard of performance. While facilitating the mastery of key skills, this approach stimulates the development of problem-solving ability, creativity, lateral thinking, time management and planning, logic and reasoning, listening, memory and concentration skills. Each session is project-based and fun-filled. Pupils from Grade 4 to 7 complete an external practical assessment at the end of the year.
The computer room is equipped with 30 state-of-the-art work stations, each with internet access, and using up to date software. Senior pupils have access to the internet in a controlled environment for research purposes.
